About me
Kymm Gossett Welle has been a writer for over 30 years—first as a technical writer before switching over to her true love of writing children’s books, with all their imagination and creativity. In addition to writing kid’s books, she enjoys reading them—and has a large collection to prove it.
Kymm wrote this chapter book, Gertrude and the Tangled Treasure, based on a character her daughter drew when she was four years old. In addition to overcoming obstacles and learning to be independent, this book discusses how finding a new friend can help children deal with the death of a loved one.
When she’s not writing, she’s reading, quilting or crocheting, and trying not to eat all the gummy bears in the house!
Kymm is a Writer-in-Residence at Follow Your Art Community Studios in Melrose, MA and a member of the Society of Children’s Book Writers and Illustrators (SCBWI).
